Server Uptime
The idea is to keep Hezkore TV online 24/7. And most of the time this works just fine.
However, since the server is located in a residential building, unforseen things could happen.
If you are unable to reach the media library at some point, check the following:
- Are you invited to Hezkore TV?
- Is Hezkore TV offline or running the daily maintenance?
- See Server Status for more info.
Otherwise, contact Support.
Quality and Transcoding
Hezkore TV will always stream media in its original video and audio quality, and will never burn the subtitles into the video!
This is because any kind of transcoding has been disabled on the server.
Simply put, this means that if you try to force a lower video or audio quality, or if your media device cannot display the subtitle, play the file format or render the codec, you will get an error.
A common message for this issue is:
The server is not powerful enough to convert video
To solve this, try the following:
- Disable subtitles: Select Off in the Subtitles drop-down menu at the video.
- Use original video quality: This can be forced per video in the Video drop-down menu, but also set in your Account settings.
- If you do not have the per video option, it means your Plex Player correctly detected that only the original video quality is available.
- Use original audio quality: This can be forced per video in the Audio drop-down menu.
- If you do not have the option, it means your Plex Player correctly detected that only the original audio quality is available.
- Try another device: Not every device (or Plex Player) supports every kind of codec and file format.
If none of the above works, contact Support.
Buffering Video
Every video has been limited to a certain bitrate, this means that there should never be any kind of buffering or pauses as you watch due to the server itself.
If the video is buffering or is otherwise choppy, check the following:
- Is the Hezkore TV daily maintenance running?
- See Server Status for more info.
- Is the bitrate of the video too high for your internet connection?
- See the video Bitrate and calculate bitrate / 1000 to get the Mbit needed. For example, a video with a 2249 kbps bitrate requires at least a 2.249 Mbit internet connection. You can test your speed at skumrask.se/speed.
Incorrect Video or Audio
If a media file has the wrong title or description, it's mismatched.
Please report any mismatches to
Support.
Video
Video in the quality "Cam", "Telesync" and "DVDScr" are forbidden and should never be part of the media library, and the aim is always a "WEBRip" in 1080p. However, it's impossible to filter out these automatically.
There should also never be any burnt-in subtitles in the video itself. These are accepted if they are in English or Swedish, but forbidden if they're in any other language.
Report video issues to Support.
Audio
Some media comes with multiple audio tracks, such as Swedish, Norwegian, English and audio for the visually impared.
You can pick any track you want by using the Audio drop-down menu before starting the video.
* If you do not have the option per video, it means that the video only has one audio track.
Or via your Account Settings menu under Audio & Subtitle Settings.
There are no forbidden languages, and videos should ideally always use the audio language the movie was produced in (i.e. Japanese movies in Japanese, Swedish movies in Swedish etc.).
However, if there is no normal audio track, then the audio is considered incorrect. An example of this is if there is no other audio track than the visually impaired audio track.
Before starting the video, try the following:
- Change audio track: This can be forced per video in the Audio drop-down menu, but also set in your Account Settings menu under Audio & Subtitle Settings.
- If you do not have the option per video, it means that the video only has one audio track.
If there is no normal audio track, report the audio issue to Support.
Media Unplayable
Sometimes, corrupt media will be downloaded to the server. This is very rare, but not unavoidable.
If you've read this entire page and the media still doesn't play, it could be corrupt and you should contact Support.
